This story could be you!

However perfect my upbringing had been, there were still some issues in life that my parents hadn’t prepared me for. Believe me when I say that they did a good job. But whatever things they taught and imparted to me, where things they themselves had learnt from their own parents and personal experiences. So, if there was anything they didn’t experience in their own lives, I sure was still ignorant of it, and needed to get trained.

I hear about the Authentic Man in church for the first time. Men are male, right? That was my general but painfully wrong conclusion before I got this information during the service. I believed men should act a certain way. I also believed they should keep some things above some other things. However, as the conversation between the minister and the people continued, I realized I was wrong. Yes, it was actually a conversation because he asked a lot of questions, and gave answers to either his own questions or some other one that people asked.

Mindsets were being changed as we listened. It was an all-male meeting. I could say that I’d never written that much before during a Saturday meeting. But yes, my principles and priorities were being reorganized. I could tell the difference between living to find a purpose, and living a purpose-driven life. Moreover, the best part of it was in how I was going to be more effective and influential in the lives of people around me.

I walked up to minister after the meeting and introduced myself.  I even asked for the slides that were used on the projector. So much change and impact had been made that I needed to keep the transformation continuous.
