Fury over Gisele Bundchen latest sexiest AD

Many women in Brazil have condemned the latest ad campaign by Gisele Bundchen as sexiest and have called that it be banned.Gisele Bündchen.The ads for Hope underwear aired last week and feature a half naked Gisele, 31, confessing to her other half that she crashed his car, maxed out his credit-card and invited her mother to come and stay.
The voiceover suggests the only 'correct' way to deliver the news would be by stripping to your underwear and 'using Brazilian charm' to cushion the blow - with the tagline 'Hope teaches.'
Government officials from the women's secretariat in Brasilia released a statement denouncing the TV spots after receiving complaints from outraged viewers.
 The statement said: 'The model, Gisele Bündchen, encourages Brazilian women to use their "charm" to lessen possible reactions from their partners.Sandra Chayo, the company's director, told The Guardian: 'Gisele can testify that all of the situations shown in the campaign are jokes about daily life (and) in no way should they be taken as being depreciative of the feminine figure.

Ramblings of an emotionless heart!

I looked into his eyes. Eyes which had captivated and intrigued me,eyes which had been as mysterious and revealing at the same time. Eyes which comforted and scared me,and I knew I wasn't going to look at them the same(with love)as I once did.
Taking a deep breathe,I opened the car door and stepped out. Back into a world where I was queen,a world where I wouldn't have have to share with no one
      How could I have had feelings for him in 3 weeks? I castigate myself. Didn't I swear off men and their intricacies?Hadn't I said no to men who were virtually at my feet?Why him? 
I met him after a long hiatus of single hood.As a matter of fact,I had resolved to remain that way.it started out with an innocent email which I sent,inviting him to join my linkedin network. What he didn't know was,I sent that same mail to all the 1,800 contacts on my address book. 
     But,he was the first to reply that mail,and so out of courtesy,I obliged him when he requested for my bb pin and phone no,which later culminated in a date.
      With no disrespect intended,joe was the first man who struck an intelligent conversation with me from the onset.he was indeed a highly intelligent and learned man .
We discussed everything from music,movies,culture,poetry,writing and main stream happenings. It was only natural that I liked him,the chemistry was too strong to ignore. He comforted me,he tutored me,he inspired me.He was my dream man. A quiet,reserved,handsome and intellectual man.
       Maybe I was wrong to have .....



over reacted when he showed the signs of unfaithfulness and disrespect.Maybe I was presumptuous in my belief that it would only be a matter of time before the skeletons fall out the cupboard.Maybe I should have worked this out after he apologized endlessly,maybe I should have turned a blind eye to the signs.Maybe I should have concentrated on his lovely charm,his smile,the way he slept,how he looked at me with so much passion and love
I should have embraced him when he came home late, when he went on for hours without calling me.Maybe I should have been that woman who kneels down days on end and prays to God to change her man.
Well, I'm not that woman.As I lay down on my bed and took in the familiar surroundings of my room which I hadn't been in for a couple of days, I realized how much I missed my old self,the solitude that comes with it,the joy of being an introvert.
Slipping under the covers,  I could hear him say"I don't know about love,but I do know I care deeply about you, I haven't felt this way in 2 years".
At this point, I realized, he wasn't the problem.I was.I was just being myself. An emotionless woman.

.The furious farmer, who asked  for filming to be halted, defended his actions yesterday, saying  Rihanna’s behaviour was ‘inappropriate’.
Mr Graham had agreed for one of his fields in Bangor, County Down, to be used for recording but was not aware what the production team had in mind for the star.

A true Love Story!

This is a true story of Mother’ s Sacrifice during the Japan Earthquake.

After the Earthquake had subsided, when the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman’s house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supporting by an object. 


The collapsed house had crashed her back and her head. With so many difficulties, the leader of the rescuer team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman’s body. He was hoping that this woman could be still alive. However, the cold and stiff body told him that she had passed away for sure.


He and the rest of the team left this house and were going to search the next collapsed building. For some reasons, the team leader was driven by a compelling force to go back to the ruin house of the dead woman. Again, he knelt down and used his had through the narrow cracks to search the little space under the dead body. Suddenly, he screamed with excitement,” A child! There is a child! “ The whole team worked together; carefully they removed the piles of ruined objects around the dead woman. 


There was a 3 months old little boy wrapped in a flowery blanket under his mother’ s dead body. Obviously, the woman had made an ultimate sacrifice for saving her son. When her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. The little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up. The medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. After he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone inside the blanket. 


There was a text message on the screen. It said ,” If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.” This cell phone was passing around from one hand to another. Every body that read the message wept. ” If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.” Such is the mother’ s love for her child!!

The Number 1 Dating Rule!!!

You just couldn't wait to read it right!Well, so are millions of people around the globe.We spend a lot of time and energy in our quest for the perfect relationship.

We read books,subscribe to online dating sites,hop from one relationship to the other,change our out looks and mannerisms,cry,fight,even use jazz(fetish means),and still end up back where we started. lonely,sad,unfulfilled and heartbroken.

   Heaven knows I too suffered from"perfect relationship syndrome. In my quest for the perfect relationship . I have read every thing from "how to hypnotize a man,secrets to trapping that man forever,catch that man in 3 days,get your ex back,making that man a slave to your love(I better not mention some names..lol), to the acclaimed "Art of Seduction" .

 Ok!I was fascinated by this book and I read and applied it to the latter. I tried to be like cleopatra whom they said captured the worlds greatest men (eg caesar)with a single glance. what was her secret? Evolving. she made sure she evolved ,her looks ,her hair,outfits,fragrance etc.she always made her men feel like they were meeting her for the first time. Always put on a show. Was she the most beautiful?No she was even described as an average looking woman.

     Well,I tried to apply the rules of cleopatra which was quite a task and seemed to be working then(at least for four months).even did the cleopatra hair style.I forgot one thing,I wasn't cleopatra,this wasn't the ancient era,and I wasn't dealing with the world's greatest men. I was dealing with  normal,down to earth African men who didn't reason the way caesar did. They didn't give a damn if I tried to evolve like a chameleon. All they wanted was food in their stomachs and probably.....

Lovely rules but ever watched the movie" two can play the game"?(Not the Nigerian version oo)well that movie brings out the intricacies and disadvantages of starting a relationship based on rules.

Nor matter how hard we(male and female )try not to apply rules,we find ourselves applying them sometimes un intentionally.we do this for two reasons

-Protect ourselves from hurt
-Make sure the ones we love never leave.

What these books don't tell us is that,"rules don't apply to everyone" .There's this rule a friend of mine lived by,whenever he met a beautiful lady,he acted like she was the ugliest in the room. Why? Because he felt beautiful ladies were used to so much attention and so,would be captivated by a man who was nonchalant. nice one if you ask me but,there came a time he really fell inlove with a very beautiful girl,so he put he down as usual,never complementing her.
It worked initially,then she snapped and decided she couldn't take it nomore.she moved in with someone who appreciated her,told her how beautiful she was.all attempts by my friend to tell her he didn't mean it fell on deaf ears. She didn't believe he was playing mind games on her.
So,my number one rule is"BE YOURSELF".I don't mean being a cheat(if that's yourself ooo).just being comfortable. The fact that your spouse walked up to you and indicated interest means you had it going for you.don't spoil it with the games.

Polo Director Jennifer Obayuwana spoils D’banj silly with cash & gifts!!!!!

Jennifer, the pretty daughter of the Polo boss, John Obayuwana is in the news again. This time, it is not about her 30^th birthday that rocked the highbrow part of Lagos to its foundation but shockingly, her love life.

While many had thought her love life would be fantastic in every inch considering her beauty and background. Unfortunately, it was gathered that Jennifer’s love life is not devoid of controversy and this may turn to a TV series if not nipped because her rival is no match in terms of cash but spoiling for war against the fair complexioned lady who holds forth as the Executive Director of the popular wrist watch store, Polo.

According to information available, the Nigerian music star, D’banj has been in a relationship with a lady based in the United Kingdom while still enjoying the comfort of Genevieve Nnaji.

However the light beamed again on Jennifer who the UK based lady claimed has been frustrating her relationship with D’banj.

In her words, she said Jennifer Obayuwana has been dating my boyfriend, Dapo (D’banj) for months now. Her best friend, Linda Mesrob has been hiding it well for her because she acts like she is a friend to Genevieve Nnaji.

The lady who claims she does not have the financial muscle of Jennifer said “I don’t have her money because she spoils him with gifts, she should just leave him for me.”

According to the story, Jennifer was said to have bought the shoes D’banj wore to the Black Entertainment Award show; a shoe valued at N350, 000.

There were also allegations that both D’banj and Jennifer may have been close to each other due to their alleged passion for weeds; though, that can not be confirmed.

The London based lady also alleged that Jennifer and her younger sister have turned a regular visitor at D’banj’s Lekki home. When asked if she has personally accused D’banj of double dating, she said D’banj came to see her in the UK few weeks ago, he told her, he can’t be bought.

There were indications that both Jennifer and her rival had exchanged unpleasant words on phone against each other on occasions, with the former telling Jennifer to leave D’banj alone for her.

Sources who are also aware said D’banj has benefited immensely from his relationship with Jennifer who is an Executive Director of her father’s company; a high profile distribution chain that store some of the most expensive wrist watches in the world for the high and mighty.

Jennifer, who was in the news sometimes back, due to a brush with Paris authorities, has been pampering him with cash and numerous gifts, a source added.

My First Love

Last night,when half the world was asleep, I lay on my bed, and thought about my life from start to finish. I do that when I need to examine my choices and see how far I’ve come and the mistakes I’ve made.
Well, my mind dwelt on my first love and I wondered how time flies. It’s been purported that your first love is your true love and that they can never be two true loves. What do we call a first love? The first person who you fell  in love with while  in your teens ,and barely able to make decisions for yourself?

I was 15 when I fell in love with Biodun way back in the once serene city,jos.was in ss3 and so was he, in another school just next to mine. The problem was, Biodun was carried away by another girl who spoilt him silly with gifts, so Biodun had to shuttle between both of us  who where so eager to have his love. Biodun never tried to be amorous with me. He claimed he loved me too much to defile me. It was so innocent without all the cons and pros of modern dating.
When he graduated and went back to Ibadan, he wrote a letter to me, telling me how much he loved me and promising to come back for me. I cried my eyes out for months, and had that letter under my pillow for two years. Until my beloved dad tore it up(thank God)

Then, I waited and waited but never saw or heard from him. I would always dream of the day he would come back and marry me. I imagined different scenarios. Bumping into him in Lagos, meeting him in the university and hearing him say the words “I love you”.

Then I started to heal, from thinking about him daily to weekly, then monthly…till I totally forgot months on end that I knew someone like that.

7 years later, Biodun got in contact with me on face book,telling me how much he loved me ,and yearns to see me.. But it’s been a year and I haven’t been able to see him even though he is now within my reach. I see clearly now and know there’s no possibility of being together. I’m now a grown woman able to make choices for myself.
My first love was just a stepping stone into the real world of love and relationships. Sometimes, your first love never comes till you’re old and grey; some never find it at all. And some do find it in their first love experience. As for me, I think I’m still waiting to be blown away by my “first love”.maybe not..

There I was trying to use the ATM, a naija guy walks and stands behind me,he's dressed down to the letter in designer wears, he's on the phone sporting a fake British accent yelling to the person on the other end as to why his luggages haven't been cleared yet!  When I was done using the ATM, I turned around, he smiled and says into the phone"Omg I'll call you back..Omg) His reaction is somewhat embarrassing and for a second, I'm forced to think there's probably a snake crawling up on my head.He says"excuse me angelic damsel "(yeah right).Well out of courtesy, I inquire what the problem is and he goes"I just came in from the UK, and I must say, you have knocked me off my feet".I get really mad, "is that it?Ok how about stepping out my way before I knock you off this part of the world?"(i meant it).
He definitely found it amusing as he began to laugh.Then he said"anyway, I'm sorry for embarrassing you, could we hook up some time?" He pulls out his Louis Vuitton wallet ),opens it and lo! A Loius Vuitton condom . I was shocked because,this condom was released just a little over a week.Trust Naija boys to represent everywhere.
But as a sharp girl, I pretended not to have noticed, he pulled out his card and handed over to me and said"I know you'll call me and by the way, hope my $68 Louis Vuitton condom didn't scare you?
I smiled and replied"No it didn't , it just demonstrated how vain you are" I said (handed his card back to him)and walked away.I heard him say" why these naija girls too dey form?Oh! So he could speak pidgin...lol

Well, I overheard some girls discussing about it and one said "if a guy doesn't use a Louis Vuitton condom on her, she ain't game.lol..I mean a $68 condom and then what,he releases gold semen?Well, sex is now one of the cheapest commodities around (so they say)maybe this would increase its value.

Well, abstinence is key but if you can't wait, you can either grab a twenty naira Gold circle condom(lol)  or a Louis Vuitton condom.$68 .

Yea, I might have a soft spot for this lady, but I think she's gradually stepping up the ladder in a nice way.
There has been a lot of backlash regarding pictures Amber rose posted up on twitter of depraved Ghanian children.Amber Rose was invited to Ghana as the host of the Voda phone Music concert alongside Trey Songz , Dbanj, Nadia Buhari.She has apologized for her statement
"People have to understand that this is my first time in Africa. This is not my culture. I have never been here so if I said anything to hurt anyones feelings then I am reall really sorry. I saw that a lot of people on twitter said don't just show the poverty, show the rich people.. But for me, the rich people aren't doing anything for the little kids and the people that are living in poverty so I don't want to go hang out with the rich people"

Hurray!!!!!!!

I cant believe its just been a month since I began my journey as a blogger.I began this journey due to the pain of losing the only man I ever loved 2 months ago(my father RIP).Many people thought it was just a temporary obsession but, with visitors like you, I have grown stronger.

Its been one month of juicy gossip, gist's, and real life experiences shared with lovely readers.I promise to do better as time rolls by..

Rihanna makes waves in her Nightwear!

Yesterday, I wrote about Rihanna being considered more sexy than her counterparts.Well, she didn't dissapoint as this morning, the 23 year old woke up without make up or brushing her teeth and greeted her fans from her hotel balcony in Brazil.
