How Stella Damasus plans to live her life in 2014

I am starting my year with a twenty one day fast and asking God for strength to see it through.

I know the things that I need God to do for me and my family! I also know that I need answers and direction from God. Most importantly I know that it is time to stop wasting my time and face my calling regardless of what people will say or think.

I know That I want to build my relationship with God and advertise him to the world with all that he has given me. I also know that it is time for you all to step out in faith and live the best life you were called to live. As the world draws closer to its end, we all need to be mindful of what we absorb from this world and society.

- We all need to know where we stand and who we stand for

- We all need to know for a fact, what we are doing and when we are supposed to do it

- We all need to know where we are heading and not be guided by the expectations of people 

- I am not going to waste my time in 2014 

- I am not going to look the way people expect me to look but the way i know I should look

- I am not going to spend money on irrelevant things when there are hungry and uneducated children out there who need help

- I am not going to attend an event because people expect me to, but because I am supposed to
- I am not going to comment on something because the world is expecting a reaction from me but speak as the Holy Spirit leads me
- I am not going to be afraid to do the things God has asked me to do because of the impression some people have of me
- I am not going to please man and offend God
- I am not going to keep friends who are not willing to follow the will of God and encourage me to love him
- I am not going to beg or seek for validation from man but from God who has already validated and endorsed me
- I am not going to say I am not good enough or I am not qualified because God created me for such a time as this
- I am not going to run away from the real me just because I want to retain fans and friends
- I will be happy and joyful
- I will live my life to the fullest
- I will love and praise God who is the creator of all things
- I will stand by the truth I know, no matter what
- I will love and pray for my enemies no matter how difficult it is
- I will run away from evil and its people
- I will tell those who care to listen about the God I have come to know
- I will sing the songs that I have always wanted to sing whether my voice is wonderful or not
- I will spend my time on important things
- I will not follow unnecessary trend when I know it is not good for me
- I will be content with what I have and where I am
- I will encourage and teach all those who are in my life

These are not new year resolutions but decisions I know I should have made long ago.

Wade acknowledged the development to the Sun Sentinel,

'I had a time, a part in our break, in our pain and our hurt, a blessing came out of it in my life, having a son that was born healthy. So I'm moving on.'

Gabrielle was shocked and angry when she learned the truth, a source told E!, and she distanced herself from the basketball player.

The main reason for piling on the pound is the amount of time they spend staying in and snacking together in front of the TV.

Settled couples also feel under less pressure to look good because they are no longer seeking a partner.
Childbirth is another factor - with women in particular blaming this for weight gain.
According to the research, 72 per cent of those polled felt under more pressure to stay slim when they were single because they were still looking for a partner.On the other hand, 82 per cent of couples said they put on weight after marrying or settling in a stable relationship.
And 54 per cent of couples admitted that they put weight on together.Women, in particular, felt under less pressure to stay slim if their husband or boyfriend was putting on weight at the same time

An Open letter to the organizers of The "Headies Awards 2013" by Dj Timmy

Everyone is now writing open letters. Have a problem with anyone, write an open letter. This one is addressed to the Organizers of the Headies Awards. Read and see if it makes sense or not..

Dear Headies 2013 Organizers;

Let me start by saying I am not just disappointed in you but u have just proved to us that Nigeria is not getting better any time soon. You have been manipulated by a greedy and hopeless telecommunications company (MTN) because they sponsored your event and you forgot the ultimate rule that awards are meant to be impartial and should be decided by the general public especially when u told us to vote. You distributed the awards among four MTN ambassadors (Iyanya, Davido, Praiz, and KCee) and just one Glo ambassador won (Waje). Is that not politics or is it coincidence? Now let us analyse.



The Headies 2013 was a flop, your stage was shaped like a models runway, the choreographers lacked ideas and didn’t interpret the music, I have seen a better performance from Nigeria’s Got Talent.

What was the Gulder Ultimate Search theme song that was being played throughout the event?

Who on earth uses the Mavin slaves -Dr Shit popularly called Dr Sid and Tiwa Gabbage knows as Tiwa Savage as anchors of an event? Oh I forgot, the awards lacked credibility and substance.

Why did majority of the winners come from backstage, instead of coming from the crowd like it should be? I watched Nickelodeon Kids choice awards this year and it is far better than the over hyped Headieswhich was not properly planned and hurriedly done #shame.

Can you explain to us how Olamide won Best Rap Album? Olamide has commercialised rap, we cannot tell if he is a rapper or a singer. As far as I am concerned, he is just an entertainer like D’Banj. So where does Vector, Phyno, Reminisce and Illbliss who represent real hip hop/rap stand? Don’t forget that there is a big difference between commercial rap and real rap, all he sings about is remind us that he is from the street but to be sincere Terry G is more street than Olamide and Terry G is not even a rapper #justsaying.

How can Harrysong win most MTN most downloaded caller tune song for RIP Mandela? when did Mandela die and do u want to compare that dead song with other club bangers in the same category?

Simple, it is because Harrysong is a label mate to your MTN ambassadors (KCee). In my opinion Jawon, Waje, 2 Face, Clarence Peters, Blackmagic and Davido deserved their awards. How can Wizkid not win any award? Someone who has been the most consistent and sought after this year. I am sure Wizkid declined an interview from you that’s why he didn’t win, in fact Wizzy should be the artiste of the year. Why did D’Banj, Burnaboy, Wandecoal, PSquare, Flavour not win anything? oh I know why, it is because they are Glo ambassadors.

Now explain to me why Sean Tizzle won the next rated award and he was in the same category as Burna Boy who is obviously more relevant and talented. We all know Sean Tizzle has the same old boring style and we can always predict his next song. Phyno too deserved the next rated award and how on planet earth did D’Tunes win producer of the year? Someone who recycled 1 beat 5 times (Kukere, Your Waist, Mama Eh, Lenu by Spicy, Kilogbe). So where does ace producer Del’B that produced the national anthem Limpopo stand? You are all insane!!!!!!

Infact, Headies, MTN and PDP should merge and start a new political party for the upcoming election in 2015. It should be named MHDP(Mtn Headies Democratic Party). We all know exactly what happened, MTN agreed to sponsor your event and they gave you the list of who should win. Our votes did not count; do you think we are blind and foolish like yourself? Instead of your greedy MTN sponsors to improve their network, reduce tariffs and contribute to the growth of the nation, they will be sending me SMS on how they gave free ipad and mp3 to those who sent an SMS to a code.

They spend all their time looking for how to extort customers and scam us with their ridiculous offers (free airplane and a trip to the moon). I am sorry to say sir but if u continue this way your company will fold up and collapse because you are not an epitome of integrity. I am speaking on behalf of majority of Nigerians who know the truth and are not afraid to say it.

Those who feel this letter is nonsense should not forget to curse, insult and threaten me on @baddestdjtimmy. after my last two open letters, I have been insulted, chewed up, spit out, as being very jobless, hopeless and a broke laptop DJ.

You guys don’t know how much I love the insults so it means I am doing a good job and it makes me stronger. So in conclusion, if u have the opportunity to host another award show, learn from your mistakes and let our votes count this time. Let those who deserve it win, is that too much to ask?

A turn in the path (A true life experience.)-MUST READ

BEEP! BEEP!! BEEP!!! Aaarrrggghhh!!!! that damned alarm clock just goes off again, sometimes I think it sounds extra loud just to rile me up,well, it has achieved its purpose already since I’m now wide awake and
irritable and the funny thing was that I wasn’t even sleeping, I was in a reverie. I was thinking about the dynamics of life, you guys know how life can really be bizarre, strange or cruel and how you have to make
proper use of the joy, love, fun that it also brings along, because in the blink of an eye, you might just be searching for it.



 I have friends and I have FRIENDS, the ones that have a way of making me feel the world isn't all that mean and tough, so when I'm not in talking terms with a FRIEND , I just try as much as I can to grovel,‘famz’ and be the 'BEGGER' so much that I think I have seriously grown alot in that area, because I love all of them and can't afford to lose any, plus you’re not sure what the next hour has to offer.

 October was a very tough one for me as I got ill and also got myself in a mess that I was trying so hard to come out of, and that was when Ireally needed my FRIENDS, as they are the people you share your  issues(good or bad) with. So I got talking on the phone with my buddy, we yarned and yarned and one gist led to another, before you know(as only good friends do) I got pissed with what he said and cut the call on
him.( I beg una, he is not my bf, so the story go sweet) Instantly it occurred to me that this person wasn’t the cause of my problems, I immediately gave him a call back.

He didn't pick, I understood so I called the 2nd, 3rd......8th that night *something I don't always do* I slept that night feeling guilty. The next morning , I was very confident that he was going to pick up after the text message I had sent the previous night, so this time I called 8times again but the niccur still didn't pick up(Na Wa O! my friend don change am for me)....
  As a proud black woman, I resolved, ‘Na God?  Is he even my husband? Which beg I go remain for my husband? And I kissed the begging issue goodbye! One more time I played the fool again, not because it's my major role but because I had missed my friend, so I called back again, 5 times this time and the block head still didn't pick up!!! Mba chinenye!!! , don't you ever beg again, If u really want to laugh, night of a thousand laugh CD dey everywhere, Bovi on you tube via my free wifi and besides I have other friends too, so I swore I was not going to call back, but that any day he called back (which I knew he was) I will so answer but when he gets bored of my mechanical convo, nobody would tell him to stop
calling.
 In November I got an ‘august visitor's call’, it was my buddy (I felt good inside, but the block head was not going to know that) “Hi, wetin dey happen? Long time” and trust me, I replied “hello dear, nuffin,
yeah" *diplomacy* it was never going to be the same and I was not going to give him the satisfaction of knowing that I had really missed him and I promised myself that I won’t call him again.

So, sweet November came and went, December also and then my ‘august caller’ called on the 25th and again, the convo went lifeless, pale, weak and worse than the last one and after he dropped, I didn't feel
remorseful because it was a reflex attitude, I had begged my friend for months and maybe he thought he knew me inside out/ procrastination to suffer me / LMFAOOOO!!!. It wasn't me that suffered it but our
friendship.
Finally, in my quiet time, I thought 'we break up to make up, but at the same time there are some people you forgive by forgetting them and I know a lot of people are in my shoes or my buddy's, so go repair it! I
miss my FRIEND (and I know he sure well misses me too) but seriously it
just can't be the same again. Ah! Yes! That was my reverie before the ‘alarm clock from hell’ decided to snap me out of it . Happy HOLs:*
